Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Vehicles

Used, Inspected, and Ready for What Comes Next

A used vehicle can have plenty of miles ahead of it. The important question is what happened before you took the wheel.

Ford Blue Advantage helps answer that question with factory-trained inspections, CARFAX vehicle history reports, Ford-backed limited warranty coverage, and additional ownership benefits. Explore the Ford CPO inventory at Way Scarff Ford to find certified trucks, SUVs, cars, and electric vehicles prepared for their next chapter.

What Is a Ford CPO Vehicle?

CPO stands for Certified Pre-Owned. A Ford CPO vehicle is more than a typical used vehicle with a new badge on the window. It must meet Ford Blue Advantage eligibility standards, pass a detailed inspection performed by Ford factory-trained technicians, and include limited warranty coverage backed by Ford.

Ford Blue Advantage offers three certification levels based on the vehicle’s make, powertrain, age, mileage, and inspection requirements: Gold Certified, EV Certified, and Blue Certified.

Not every used vehicle qualifies. That distinction is what makes Ford CPO inventory valuable for shoppers who want the savings of buying used with more information and protection behind their decision.

Three Certification Levels. One Smarter Way to Shop.

Gold Certified Ford Vehicles

Gold Certified is designed for qualifying Ford vehicles that are no more than six years old and have fewer than 80,000 miles. Each vehicle must pass a comprehensive 172-point inspection performed by Ford factory-trained technicians.

Gold Certified benefits include:

  • 12-month/12,000-mile Comprehensive Limited Warranty coverage

  • 7-year/100,000-mile Powertrain Limited Warranty coverage

  • 172-point inspection

  • CARFAX Vehicle History Report

  • 24/7 Roadside Assistance

  • 22,000 Ford Rewards Points after qualifying enrollment

  • Three-month SiriusXM trial on eligible vehicles

EV Certified Ford Vehicles

A pre-owned electric vehicle should inspire excitement, not uncertainty. EV Certified vehicles must meet Ford’s age and mileage requirements and pass a specialized 127-point inspection by Ford factory-trained technicians.

EV Certified benefits include:

  • 12-month/12,000-mile Comprehensive Limited Warranty coverage

  • 8-year/100,000-mile BaseCARE EV Limited Warranty coverage

  • 127-point inspection

  • CARFAX Vehicle History Report

  • 24/7 Roadside Assistance

  • 22,000 Ford Rewards Points after qualifying enrollment

  • A fully charged vehicle and new wiper blades at delivery

Blue Certified Vehicles

Blue Certified opens the door to a broader range of choices. Qualifying vehicles can include Ford models and many vehicles from other manufacturers. Eligible vehicles must meet Ford’s age and mileage requirements and pass a detailed 139-point inspection.

Blue Certified benefits include:

  • 90-day/4,000-mile Comprehensive Limited Warranty coverage

  • 139-point inspection

  • CARFAX Vehicle History Report

  • 24-hour Roadside Assistance

  • 11,000 Ford Rewards Points after qualifying enrollment

  • Three-month SiriusXM trial on eligible vehicles

  • Fresh oil and filter, new wiper blades, and a full tank of fuel at delivery

Ford CPO vs. a Traditional Used Vehicle

Every used vehicle should be evaluated carefully, but certification creates an additional layer of standards and documentation.

A traditional used vehicle may still be an excellent choice, but its inspection process, warranty coverage, and included benefits can vary. A Ford Blue Advantage vehicle must qualify for one of Ford’s defined certification levels and includes corresponding Ford-backed limited warranty coverage.

The better choice depends on your priorities, budget, and preferred vehicle. Way Scarff Ford can help you compare certified and traditional used inventory side by side, without assuming that one answer fits every driver.

What Does the Ford CPO Inspection Cover?

Ford Blue Advantage inspections examine far more than exterior appearance. Depending on the certification level, factory-trained technicians assess major vehicle systems, operation, condition, and history.

Inspection areas may include:

  • Engine and powertrain operation

  • Transmission and drivetrain

  • Brakes, steering, and suspension

  • Tires and wheels

  • Electrical and safety systems

  • Heating and air conditioning

  • Interior and exterior condition

  • Technology and audio equipment

  • Road-test performance

  • Vehicle history and recall status

  • EV components and charging equipment, when applicable

If an inspected component does not meet Ford Blue Advantage standards, it must be repaired or reconditioned with authorized parts when available before the vehicle can receive certification.
